Estonia borders Russia: Estonia shares a border with Russia. As of February 2026, crossing into Russia is strongly discouraged for US citizens. The border crossing at Narva-Ivangorod is not recommended. Always check current US State Department advisories.
e-Residency is NOT a visa: Estonia's e-Residency program lets anyone register an EU-based company digitally. However, e-Residency is NOT a visa, residency permit, or right to live in Estonia. You still comply with the Schengen 90/180 rule as a visitor, regardless of e-Residency status.
